A Taste of the Job- Critical Outcomes from the Job

  • Deliver Gross Sales, Net Sales and Trade Spend:
    • Account Management – Create and execute annual customer business plan that sets objectives to support portfolio incremental growth across 4Ps - promotion, pricing strategy, product mix (core + new distribution), planogram management and baseline health.
    • Strategic Partnership – Develop & manage customer relationships in regional market across accounts key decision-makers (buyer, category, e-commerce/marketing & sustainability) for long term collaborative relationship with Nature’s Path to attain comprehensive sales goals.
    • Develop strategic growth pillars and lead annual Joint Business Planning with customers and across applicable broker management.
    • Lead collaboration with cross-functional partners to identify opportunities and develop ideas to deliver results.
    • Manage monthly, quarterly, bi-annual category meetings with each customer to review the state of the business, identify opportunities to deliver results.
    • Fiscal Financial Management (P&L) - trade assessment & management will be critical to success in JBP levers (promotion, pricing & distribution)
    • Travel for Customer calls, Market Visit, and Customer trade shows.

Conducts pre and post promotion analysis to improve ROI and maintain trade spend.

  • Own the internal forecasting and trade management system to identify actual versus Proactively identify opportunity and gaps with solutions.
  • Deliver focused goals with broker team (where applicable):
    • Set growth levers, revenue sales target and spend rate for broker account team.
    • Build and execute promotional planners.
    • Lead monthly reviews, identify, assess opportunities for incremental growth and/or gap fill
    • Ensure cascading broker responsibilities are understood, performance measurement objectives are identified, reviewed, and monitored on an on-going basis to provide feedback on accomplishments and immediate action is taken to remedy shortfalls.

Path to Success- Qualifications and Experience

  • College degree in a related discipline preferred, or +6 years in other job-related or equivalent business
  • 2-4 years of sales experience with focus in natural and/or grocery conventional retailers is an asset
  • Proven sales & execution history in a retail
  • Demonstrated proficient understanding of POS data (SPINS/IRI/ Nielsen) with the ability to communicate insights, actions, recommendations and build compelling customer presentation.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn
  • Proficient with key software applications, such as Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in an open and direct manner, convey information clearly and concisely, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
